These Terms & Conditions apply to piano, organ and music theory lessons provided by Mariusz Kozie\u0142<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By booking a lesson, the student (or, in the case of a minor, their parent or legal guardian) agrees to the following terms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

Booking Lessons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\n

Lessons can be arranged on a weekly, biweekly or occasional basis<\/strong>, depending on availability and the student’s individual needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regular lesson times may be agreed in advance. However, occasional changes may be necessary due to concerts, professional commitments, travel or other circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lesson booking is considered confirmed once the date and time have been agreed by both parties.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Trial Lesson<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A 30-minute trial lesson<\/strong> is available for \u20ac20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trial lesson provides an opportunity to meet, discuss the student’s experience and goals, and explore whether regular lessons would be suitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booking a trial lesson does not create an obligation to continue with regular lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n

Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Student<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let me know as soon as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation more than 24 hours in advance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lessons cancelled or rescheduled more than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time<\/strong> can normally be rearranged without charge, subject to availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If a lesson is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time<\/strong>, the full lesson fee may be charged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I understand that unexpected circumstances can occur. In exceptional situations, such as sudden illness or an emergency, we can discuss whether it is possible to arrange an alternative solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Missed lessons<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If a student does not attend a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the lesson will normally be charged in full.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation and Rescheduling by the Teacher<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Occasionally, I may need to reschedule a lesson due to concerts, professional engagements, travel, illness or other unforeseen circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever possible, I will inform the student as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I need to cancel a lesson, I will make every reasonable effort to arrange an alternative date and time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If rescheduling is not possible, no payment will be required for the cancelled lesson, or any payment already made will be credited towards a future lesson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Holidays and Planned Absences<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If either the student or the teacher knows in advance that they will be unavailable, it is appreciated that this is communicated as early as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For students taking regular lessons, alternative lesson dates may be arranged around holidays or planned absences, depending on availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note that rescheduling is subject to mutual availability and cannot always be guaranteed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Late Arrival<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If a student arrives late, the lesson will normally still finish at the originally scheduled time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The full lesson fee remains applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I arrive late due to circumstances within my control, the lost lesson time will be made up where reasonably possible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Illness<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If a student is unwell, particularly in the case of a contagious illness, please do not attend the lesson in person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever possible, we can discuss whether the lesson can be rescheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I am unwell and unable to teach, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited towards a future lesson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Lesson Location<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lessons normally take place at the student’s location in Breda and the surrounding area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Travel within the agreed teaching area is included in the lesson price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For locations significantly outside the Breda area, additional travel costs or alternative arrangements may apply. These will always be discussed before confirming the lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are responsible for ensuring that a suitable instrument and appropriate environment are available for the lesson.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Organ Lessons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Organ lessons depend on access to a suitable instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If lessons take place in a church or another location where the instrument belongs to a third party, permission to use the instrument should be arranged in advance where necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The student is expected to treat the instrument and the location with appropriate care and respect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

Fees and Payment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Current lesson prices are published on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Payment is made by bank transfer<\/strong>, unless another arrangement has been agreed in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An invoice can be provided for individual lessons or for an agreed series of lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unless otherwise agreed, payment should be made within the period indicated on the invoice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

VAT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The applicability of VAT depends on the student’s age and the applicable Dutch tax regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where VAT is applicable, it will be clearly indicated on the invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The teacher reserves the right to adjust the VAT treatment if required by changes in legislation or official tax guidance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Changes to Lesson Prices<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lesson prices may occasionally be adjusted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students taking regular lessons will be informed in advance of any changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any new prices will apply only after reasonable prior notice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ending Regular Lessons<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Either the student or the teacher may decide to end regular lessons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever possible, please provide at least two weeks’ notice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lessons already confirmed within that period may still take place unless another arrangement is agreed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Communication<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lesson arrangements, cancellations and practical matters can be discussed by email, WhatsApp or another agreed method of communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please ensure that important changes, particularly cancellations, are communicated clearly and in good time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Responsibility<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The teacher will make every reasonable effort to provide high-quality and professional instruction adapted to the student’s individual level and goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, musical progress depends on many factors, including regular practice, preparation and the student’s individual circumstances. Specific results, examination outcomes, competition results or performance opportunities cannot be guaranteed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students are responsible for their own instruments, equipment and personal belongings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Children and Young Students<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For students under the age of 18, communication regarding bookings, payments and other practical matters should normally take place with a parent or legal guardian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that younger students are able to attend lessons safely and on time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Changes to These Terms & Conditions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

These Terms & Conditions may occasionally be updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most recent version will be available on this website. Students taking regular lessons will be informed of significant changes in advance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
