Mariusz Kozieł is a concert organist and composer based in Breda. He graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice (Poland), where he studied organ under Witold Zaborny and Krzysztof Lukas. He is currently pursuing his second Master’s degree at Codarts University for the Arts in Rotterdam, studying with Zuzana Ferjenčíková.
From September, Mariusz will serve as Junior Organist-in-Residence at the Pieterskerk in Leiden.
In addition to solo concerts, he performs as a member of Colloque des Claviers ensemble. Together with Aleksandra Gawrońska-Kozieł, he explores the full spectrum of keyboard repertoire, performing in various instrumental combinations such as organ duet, piano duet, and piano & organ duo.
Mariusz composes primarily for the organ, but his output also includes works for piano, choir, and chamber ensembles. He is the author of several original pieces and transcriptions for organ duo. His organ works are regularly featured in his concert programmes. The first publication of his works is currently in preparation.
Mariusz Kozieł jest koncertującym organistą i kompozytorem zamieszkałym w Bredzie. Jest absolwentem Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Szymanowskiego w Katowicach, gdzie jego nauczycielami organów byli dr hab. Witold Zaborny, prof. AM oraz dr hab. Krzysztof Lukas. Obecnie kontynuuje studia w klasie organów Zuzany Ferjenčíkovej w Codarts w Rotterdamie (Holandia).
Od września Mariusz obejmie stanowisko Junior Organist-in-Residence w Pieterskerk w Lejdzie (Holandia).
Poza koncertami solowymi, występuje jako członek zespołu Colloque des Claviers. Razem z Aleksandrą Gawrońską-Kozieł gra w różnych kombinacjach obejmujących instrumenty klawiszowe jako duet organowy, fortepianowy oraz duet organy-fortepian.
Mariusz komponuje głównie muzykę organową, ale także fortepianową, chóralną i kameralną. Jest także autorem kilku kompozycji i transkrypcji przeznaczonych na duet organowy. Regularnie wykonuje swoje utwory organowe podczas koncertów. Pierwsza publikacja jego dzieł jest w przygotowaniu.
